ABOUT THE SHOW

This April Vacation, get ready for an unforgettable experience in our Musical Theater Performance Program—a dynamic, hands-on training opportunity where young performers explore the magic of stagecraft in a fun, supportive environment. This program is designed for students of all levels, combining the essential elements of musical theater: singing, dancing, and acting, with opportunities for creativity and growth.

Each session is centered around a popular musical theme, allowing students to dive deep into the characters, songs, and stories of some of Broadway's biggest hits. Whether they're belting out showstoppers, learning intricate choreography, or mastering acting techniques, our talented instructors will guide them every step of the way.

At the end of the program, students will showcase their hard work and talent in a Family Showcase, where family and friends will get a sneak peek at the spectacular performance they've been perfecting.

The theme for our April Vacation program is: A Wicked Week at Shiz

Step into the hallowed halls of Shiz University this April School Vacation with NAPA! This week-long performing arts program will transport young performers into the spellbinding world of Wicked.

Through engaging workshops in acting, singing, and movement, participants will explore the magic of storytelling while building essential performing arts skills. Guided by our talented instructors, kids will collaborate to create their own Wicked-inspired showcase, celebrating the friendships, rivalries, and unforgettable moments of this iconic world.

ABOUT THE SHOW

What happens before the big 11 o’clock number? How can you enrich the moment before your ballad? How the HECK do people learn monologues and scenes?

In this two-week intensive workshop, young performers will explore the essential building blocks of acting, focusing on monologue and scene work to develop the skills necessary for compelling storytelling on stage. Through engaging exercises designed to free the imagination, enhance concentration, and heighten awareness, students will dive into the fundamentals of acting with a playful and improvisational approach.

Participants will gain tools for physical and vocal mastery, script analysis, and synthesis techniques that bring scenes and monologues to life. Whether preparing for musical theater or straight plays, this program will empower young actors to approach text with confidence and creativity.
